Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, born on August 19 1965, is an American actress. She is also a producer and director. Her most well-known role is her part as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. After the seventh season, Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The series ended on August 13 on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) The Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), an educator and speech therapy therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick claims to be Jewish and has stated that she is a member of Passover seders.
